Pennsylvania has always had a proud tradition of many decades of aviation leadership and development. Men and women from across Pennsylvania have stepped up to volunteer, all in the name of aviation and aerospace development.

Pennsylvania is the birthplace of Piper Aircraft and the Piper Cub.  Many aviation “firsts” started right here in the state. People with determination, vision and desire, all helped build the aviation industry in the Commonwealth. They came from the public and private sectors. Together, they have and will continue to mold the aviation landscape in Pennsylvania.

Since 1960, the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania (The Council) has played a role in these developments. The Council is proud to be a part of past aviation achievements and looks forward to many years of future goal attainment. The Council embraces being a part of the future of the Pennsylvania aviation and aerospace business models.
