AVIATION AWARDS PROGRAM The Aviation Council created the Aviation Awards Program in 1970 as its way of honoring people and organizations that exemplify the highest standards of service or have made outstanding contributions to the state's air transportation system and the people they serve. The 2011 Awards are scheduled to be presented at the Awards Luncheon on Thursday, September 15, 2011, in conjunction with the 31st Annual Pennsylvania Aviation Conference being held in State College.
