Joining us will be Brian Karli, former US Airways pilot and Standards Captain for Cox Enterprises in Atlanta, GA. Brian will give a presentation on Stabilized Approaches. Industry FOQA data have identified a need for stabilized approach emphasis and he will outline the path his flight department took to address this important issue. Go around’s will be discussed including his company’s cultural change. In addition, he will discuss his company’s Winter Operations. As always, one very important element of this seminar will a roundtable exchange of information of regional flight departments regarding their experiences and lessons learned regarding stabilized approaches and winter weather operations. The latest winter weather information produced by the FAA and industry sources will be provided and discussed.

Also joining us will be Harrisburg TRSA controller Phil Gesumaria, who will give us an overview of the TRSA and a controller’s perspective on ADS-B. Have your ATC questions ready.

Updated information regarding the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) recent efforts with the Harrisburg FSDO in establishing the ASAP program.

This program is oriented towards professional pilots, charter departments, corporate flight departments, as well as turbine and multi-engine owner-operators. Sponsored by the Harrisburg FAASTeam and the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania. This meeting will be held at David C. McIntosh Boardroom, located on the third floor of the HIA terminal building (by the Observation Deck).
